First of all, to beat a dead horse, you shouldn't be venting your BOV with a stock air metering system. Did you plug your MAS back in? Have you done a boost leak test since installing the FMIC? What type of BOV are you using, and do you have the reference line hooked up to the intake manifold? The BOV should not be able to open, especially when you are building boost, since the positive manifold pressure(along with the spring in it) is what is actually holding the BOV shut.

I think you guys are missing the point. The first question should of been... Is it on the stock t25 turbo. If yes. Yes, there will be major lag.
And running non recirculate will cause the car to choke/ stall/ die.

Boost leak is the first thing that comes to mind. Do the boost leak test, recirculate your BOV and get back to us with the results

All lines are reconnected and I did a boost leak and fixed them and the mas is reconnected and everything is stock so if I switch the bov to a recirculated bov will it run better
Thank you for the replies

Go try it and get back. Statistically speaking... it should run better.

Your boost gauge is just reflecting what is going on with the boost pressure. It sounds like there's still a boost leak where it could be sucking in air rather than air leaking out. Just a thought you might want to try out.

If its the stock "boost gauge", dont worry about it....its not accurate. Get an aftermarket one, sooner then later. Also, when the MAF is unplugged, it tends to make your RPM's go a little nuts, at stop lights and while driving. Don't vent the BOV with the stock MAF.

DO worry about it!
The stock boost gauge is just an airflow meter. If the ECU thinks the car is pulling in enough air to show boost on the stock gauge, then it is adding fuel for that much air and flooding the engine.
Something is wrong, and you need to figure it out before driving the car again.
Keith
