After installing my 3" Megan Racing exhaust and downpipe, Extreme PSI Intake, and Forge BOV. I took it out for a drive and it started fuel cutting it pretty much every gear. I have a hallman Boost controller with no gauge atm, (i know i need one waiting for the mail) not sure what boost its spiking at.

Step 1 -Take off the boost controller.

Step 2 - Get a boost gauge.

Seriously, you shouldn't mod a thing on the car without a boost gauge. You should be thanking the DSM Gods for fuel cut, as without it you probably would have smoked your engine by now.

its in the mail, how will removing a boost controller fix my boost spike issue? hmm?

you need a boost guage and air/fuel guage before you go any further. if your gonna be turning up the boost your gonna need a tuner as well. link is recommended but you can go with a stand alone as well.

because youll be running at stock boost rather then whatever you think you have it set at. no way to tell how much boost your running off the factory guage

it was spiking without the boost controller i put it on to try and turn the boost down.

get a guage at set your boost right.. untill then stay out of boost. what did you change prior to this to make it surge. what kind of turbo are you running?

take the boost controller back off and run wastegate pressure.. run a vaccum line directly from your intake to the wastegate actuator. no T fitting into another line.. it needs its own vaccum source

also hook stock boost solenoid back up?

no that could have been your surge issues if its stuck.. just try running it without it. if it helps by running it without it then you know what the problem was. the boost control solinoid is basically the same thing as a manual boost controller minus the adjustability.

also are you venting you BOV or is it recurculating still?

Jesus. Recirc or not it wont matter. Im curious as to whether he is creeping or spiking. Sounds like creeping and its because of the exhaust and dp.

Still need to know what turbo youre running and what the known wg actuator psi is. These are all important. If youre running a 6266 at 14psi you bet ## ass youll hit fuel cut, but if its a 16g that same boost might be ok. Also the wg needs to be tested to see what psi it opens at. I have the "HD" pte wg and it wont open til 12 or 13 psi minimum. While the stock wg will open at i believe 8psi(could be wrong here) but nonetheless its lower.

Just installed my boost gauge, its creeping up to 15 psi and thats where its hitting fuel cut. Everything is stock except for what i listed above.

working on it now.

Sounds like there is air leaking from throttle body intake manifold area, def not from intercooler pipe. Also smell fuel when doing the test

That's more than likely your throttle body shaft seals and/or BISS screw O-ring leaking. It's a common leak and easy enough to fix on your own. When you smell the fuel, sniff around your oil dipstick- more than likely a small amount of blow-by but I wouldn't be alarmed about it.

The smell of fuel could also be from air leaking around the lower injector seals. That would make a slightly gassy smell.

Rather than listen for leaks, take an old spray bottle and fill it with soapy water. When the intake is pressurized, spray the water onto the pipes, throttle body, fuel injectors, or anywhere else you think might be possibly leaking. If you see bubbles then that is where your leak is.

It wasnt hitting fuel cut before the install. Would you reccomend an o2 housing, and was the air i heard something to worry about.

why would a small leak like that cause it boost creep instead of lose boost?

Without fully explaining fuel cut, the boost leak could cause fuel cut by the MAF reading more air than what's actually making it to the combustion chamber. Fuel cut happens when the ECU decides you're pulling too much air and thinks something is going to blow up, so it cuts fuel in attempt to prevent any damage. The leak causes extra metered air through the MAF, plus a rich condition. Having a boost controller without a boost gauge is a very bad idea, like others suggested run a line straight from your compressor housing to the wastegate actuator and I'll bet your fuel cut goes away.
