My car now is suddenly buring oil like no other. it has oil around just about every exhaust gasket now. The lower right passenger side manifold bolt has oil dripping from it every couple seconds, if you watch for it. I have read alot of fourms saying valve seals, or turbo could be shot. I just checked the turbo for shaft play. it has none what so ever. there was just a little bit of oil on the intake side, but thats about it. Im sure it's not the turbo. I also know its not the valve cover leaking. Any ideas on what it could be? Its seems to be that its coming out of the lower passenger side manifold bolt, also smoking. Alot.
thanks guys

Has to be the turbo seals to leak that much. Also check the valve seals, take the valve cover off and shine the light between the spring and look at them. Other things that burn oil are:
1.piston rings or internal engine damage.
2.blown head gasket.
3. PCV valve clogged.
If you get more smoke when you start the car for the first 2 minutes it's the valve seals.
If you get more smoke upon acceleration it's mostly the rings.
If you burn oil all the time and the car is not making noise it could be the turbo.
If you got no power and noise, oil burning will mostly indicate internal engine damage.
Etc....

Do a compression test dry and wet. Shake the PCV to check if it's clogged. Look at the turbo, (usually a lot of oil in the exhaust. )

Do check for oil leaks, cause it could be just, the oil is leaking out, not burning.

That stud goes into an oil passage and the stud needs to have sealant on it. That would be one thing to check.

well when i was putting my motor back in the car, and connecting the vacuum lines, i noticed my bov was t'ed into my boost guage, and ran to the intake boot.. I realized that was not right, so i t'ed into the fpr for my boost gauge, and connected the bov to the intake manifold. after i drove it around, i couldnt even hear my bov anymore. i didnt like that at all, and its still like that. before i could hear it loud and clear. not at all now. i connected to the center intake manifold vacuum port. what did i do wrong?!
