Based off your profile I take it's a 2g n/t 420a we experience it all the time at the shop.. Most of the time we use a pulley puller so make sure your using a quality piece not a harbor freight one. I think you can rent them at auto zone... And if at all possible use some heat with the puller. And be sure to tighten the puller then tap on the end with a hammer tighten it again and tap again, repeat process until it pops off.

Things needed.... Please do not feel insulted by my wording/phases. I just like to make my point across the first time.

1. Depending if you have an aftermarket harmonic pulley or not, would be your problem.

2. If you have a stock harmonic pulley, then you NEED this puller only.

3. If you have an aftermarket harmonic pulley, then you will need either from the 2 below...

or

some heat, but not really needed. If you still are having trouble, then you have other problems...

That top pulley puller is the same one we use it's designed for Chrysler vehicles and works great... But the secondary pulley will still work... Been there done that lol.

Heat is your friend. They can be nasty to remove. Go to the parts store and rent one for free. The parts store require a deposit. You will feel great knowing that you defeated the beast.

This is what you need, maybe they will rent it (or a tool rental place): Buy OTC GM/Chrysler/Mitsubishi Harmonic Damper Pulley Puller OTC6667 at Advance Auto Parts
