Right now im trying to remove the crankshaft pulley but it sooo hard to come off. I already lose the bolt but the pulley dont want to come out at all. I try to use pry bar and hammer to tap but still havent come out. I just brought 3 jaw tool for take off the pulley but it broke my tool. My friend say i have to take to machine shop but i disgree. I feel like there are the way to take it off. I know i anit the only one. Please do u have any idea what to do to take it out? I try what i can but it begin stubborn to stay stuck.

Based off your profile I take it's a 2g n/t 420a we experience it all the time at the shop.. Most of the time we use a pulley puller so make sure your using a quality piece not a harbor freight one. I think you can rent them at auto zone... And if at all possible use some heat with the puller. And be sure to tighten the puller then tap on the end with a hammer tighten it again and tap again, repeat process until it pops off.

yeah i was using harbor freight tool then it broke. So i guess im just going to take it to machine shop to take out the pulley for me. My friend say it only cost $20.

Things needed.... Please do not feel insulted by my wording/phases. I just like to make my point across the first time. :thumb:

1. Depending if you have an aftermarket harmonic pulley or not, would be your problem.

2. If you have a stock harmonic pulley, then you NEED this puller only.

3. If you have an aftermarket harmonic pulley, then you will need either from the 2 below...

some heat, but not really needed. If you still are having trouble, then you have other problems...

That top pulley puller is the same one we use it's designed for Chrysler vehicles and works great... But the secondary pulley will still work... Been there done that LOL.

Heat is your friend. They can be nasty to remove. Go to the parts store and rent one for free. The parts store require a deposit. You will feel great knowing that you defeated the beast.

there is another way 2 pounds of c4 in a shape charge and boom off comes the crankshaft pulley ( might have to go looking for it )

now to be honest u need a good quality puller not a 20$ one not to be rude or anything iv been there
