Trying to uninstall my mbc and go back to stock boost from the WGA.
How exactly is this hooked up? Hose from intake pipe, t fitting, and to jpipe and WGA? Unrelated I'm looking for a good place to study up on the cars electrical system and how it works, basics etc. A good source would be nice, thanks

Google is your friend. A good search can net anything! Also a Haynes, Chilton or FSM would be a great place to look. You can find the FSM online pretty easily.

I don't know a person on this site who can't tell me how to hook a mbc up, but no one can directly answer how the stock setup works without a boost controller? Typing this question into google doesn't do much justice, I'm not sure how I want it worded. The key to being able to use google is knowing how to articulate the response you're seeking which I can not do in this scenario. Thanks for all other help

Search is your freind... .

Pretty sure that first pic is under your hood somewhere as well.

Actually had this bookmarked but when I was reading it I was more focused on the mbc pictures, thank you.

Is #1 the stock fuel pressure regulator and #2 where I should make a T for my boost gauge?

No. Number 1 is the fuel pressure solenoid. You should tap between the solenoid and the intake manifold for your boost gauge, i.e., the other hose coming out of #1.

Take a good look at the pic in the link

Below where is says
1g After (I've got 2 different pics)

Same thing applies to a 2g you want it tapped before the solinoid and right after the source from the manifold.

Edit: too slow... . Might want to take note of what 19Eclipse90 says below in that link as well if you go back from the stock line routing to some other way.. .

Not to steal the thread, but I also have a question. I dont have the fuel pressure soloenoid plug with any vac lines. My setup goes Manifold+the boost gauge tee+regulator. My question is, Will it make a difference if i run it, Manifold+boost tee+solenoid+regulator??

In all honesty, you can remove the mbc, and run that hose directly to the wastegate actuator. That will make it actuate on whatever the spring is set for, also known as wastegate boost...

This is pretty much what I was looking for. What about the nipple on the side of the intake pipe? Keep it capped?

Thank you

Yes, assuming you're using an internal wastegate with a stock style wastegate actuator. You won't need an atmospheric pressure reference unless you plan on really modding the WGA or going with an external gate.

Just make sure to connect your WGA directly to a charge pipe before the throttle body, and do it with a dedicated vacuum line. You don't need to reconnect the stock BCS, it doesn't really help anything to use it.

Like this or what?
NO. That will not supply boost pressure to the WGA, so it will never open the wastegate and you will have uncontrolled overboost.

run a hose directly fron the turbo/j-pipe(boost source) to the wastegate. Like this you will be running stock wastegate pressure.
Precisely.

Like this or what?

No. J-pipe or another pipe that sees pressure under boost. I've seen some turbos in the aftermarket that have a nipple on the compressor housing. The nipple found on the compressor housing is best used for boost reference for the wastegate.
