jki bought the car last year and the guy put some upgrades on it like the turbo and intake and a boost controller but that's all I know is there any way to tell if the injectors are stock or not. I done some research on the 16g evo 3 and what I gathered was that you can't run stock injectors on a 16g whether its true or not I don't know
x2, otherwise your flying blind. If nothing else at least buy a wideband before messing with your current boost setting, no two cars are the same, also check and make 100% sure your knock sensor is good
PSI means nothing, airflow is what matters. Reading too much airflow is what makes the ecu induce fuel cut. I.E. A huge turbo with all other supporting mods on a stock ecu might hit fuel cut at 8 or 9psi due to the amount of airflow it's generating, while a little t25 with stock everything might not hit fuel cut until 17 or 18 psi.
My advice to you, re-wire your fuel pump, turn the boost up until you hit fuel cut, then back it down one psi.
just not a good idea without some kind of engine management... or at LEAST a way to clear a CEL. fuel cut =CEL so hes gonna hit fuel cut and be pissed off til someone can clear it for him.. and could cause other issues until its cleared... the ecu remembers fuel cut..
, no, it doesn't. Fuel cut will NOT throw a cel.at least buy a wideband and some kind of engine management
