Just wondering... I was lookin at some Brian Crower 272 cams and i was wondering what all i would need to install them. im new to building motors so i dont know a whole lot. My motor is stock as far as i know, but am planning on installing a 16g turbo, 550 injectors, and a 255 fuel pump. if that makes a difference. A little input/recommendations would be much appreciated as i need all the help i can get.

Well before the cams if your going bigger on turbo, injectors and fuel pump. You should get something to tune them with like ecmlink or get a flash able ecu, also you need a afpr for the 255 pump an I highly recommend a wideband of some sort. You obviously have plans to get more out of the motor so you need a way to watch the a/f ratio to tune properly and not blow your stuff up. Read through the upgrade path here http://www.dsmtuners.com/tech.html

It's a good idea to rotate the motor by hand half a dozen times before you start it, to make sure everything is lined up.

When you use the tensioner tool to compress the tensioner. How do you reset the tension, it does not say in those links.

DON'T install cams into an otherwise-stock car with no way to tune. Your idle will lean out so drastically that the car will likely stall when coming to a stop and become dangerous to drive due to the increased overlap lowering intake manifold vacuum. When you do get it to idle, the rpms will fluctuate rapidly to the point where your lights will flicker at night.

If you can't add fuel to your idle circuit, don't waste your time installing cams....you're not at the stage in the game when they're going to add any power.

...but to answer your question, all you need to complete a cam install is a timing belt tensioner tool, a 10mm socket for the valve cover, a 12mm socket for the cam caps, a couple zip ties to secure the belt to the cam gears, a 17mm socket and breaker bar to remove the bolt from the cam gear(s), and a large crescent wrench to keep the cams from turning. Takes about 20-30 minutes to do the install....but do NOT start the car until the lifters have bled themselves down following the install or you WILL bend the valves.
