Whats your opinion on them?

I want to get a oil pressure, water temp, and another one.... But would those be the right choices? I just want to mointor my oil pressure and things if i plan to autocross or track race some day. My eclipse is stock.

I've had them, they were junk. Go with autometer.

Careful the dude from Glowshift is going to go off on you about how much better they are than even the top brands, especially if you start talking about widebands.

The reality is, when you have REAL PROOF. No Glowshift gauges are NOT as accurate as real gauges. They are not horrible but they aren't great either.

As for their widebands they claim to use the most sensitive sensors to provide the most accurate readings...... but yet how many people recommend them? I've heard of a grand total of........ ...... .. wait for it... zero.

The only reason I'd buy a glowshift gauge is for a friend who owns a Honda to feel like he has a boosted car and because they make pretty colors.

But I guess what I'm saying is that if I weren't worried about accurate readings I'd probably go with them.

*edit* I should have mentioned, as far as cheap gauges go I'd recommend Prosport. Their gauges are a decent price with accurate enough (especially for the price) and are pretty decent quality as well. However, I would always recommend going with the most accurate gauges you can afford. Don't go with a wideband if it's not a AEM or a LC-1, even though I have the AEM because it came with the car I'd go with a LC-1.

GlowShift gauges use to actually be SPW gauges a few years back. They were garbage. However, GlowShift has changed manufacturers and now uses the same manufacturers as some of the most recommended gauges on this site.

My business is an authorized GlowShift dealer, installer and repairer. We have done some extensive testing side-by-side with other gauge manufacturers. I will tell you that they are as accurate as those other companies.

Make the decision based on what you like. Gauges now-a-days are pretty much identical when it comes to electronic components, eventually even the discount companies catch up in quality as the better components become cheaper (think about computers now compared to the 90s).

I've had them in 3 different cars, all of the electronic sensor ones quit working in 6 months or less. The boost gauge is not as accurate as an autometer, every one that i've had didn't read 0 with the engine off. The construction of them is just cheap if you ask me. They are pretty much the same thing as what is sold at harbor freight for 20 dollars. If it didn't say glowshift you probably couldn't tell the 2 apart. They have the same case, the same plug in the back, and even the same mounting hardware. They might be higher quality these days, i haven't bought anything from them for a few years. I just prefer to spend a little more and get top notch quality.

I have heard many times, as H4G64T noted, that the Glowshift gauges are made by the same manufacturer that makes many name branded gauges.

I myself have the tinted series boost gauge that changes colors and all that jazz. It appears to gauge boost perfectly well and sweeps very well too. I spent $42 shipped on it and am very pleased with the quality. I would certainly give them a thumbs up for quality.

Time for another pissing contest..anywho FWIW for all the haters out there my glowshift WB was DEAD ON 100% compared to my innovate mtxl. As far as my boost gauge goes its also right on with my omni 4 bar. They look decent and all in all I have had a good experience with them. I would still be using my WB if I could have been able to make it communicate with dsm link.

They are the same ones, just with a different backing plate, especially with the mechanical gauges. The digital series gauge is actually identical to the DB line of gauges LC1 uses (the gauge not the control unit for the wideband, though they both use Bosch sensors, Glowshift uses a 4.9 instead of a 4.7 like Innovate).

By far the best bang for your buck, i have the 7 color tinted seires and love em, boost, volt, and oil temp., during the day unless you use the white or light blue there kinda hard to see but im not using the suplied visors. If you are looking to get a far priced gauge/s than i would go with glowshift anyday.

Gauges are gauges, as long as they come with detailed instructions and you can install them right. With that being said I was intending to buy some Glowshift gauges + piller pod off eBay for my 98 n/t it was only $150 shipped but I ended up finding a better deal for some Xtune gauges + pillar only $100 shipped and I'm very happy with them. Ask around all your friends, alotta people, see what type of gauges they have and which type you like.

I have a Glowshift digital boost gauge and it is spot on accurate. I haven't tried their other gauges but i'd highly recommend their boost gauge.

Gauges are gauges

This is pretty untrue. Especially with mechanical gauges. Some of the cheaper gauges are pretty inaccurate, and fairly delicate.

I would say you can beat autometer for accuracy in the low end of the gauge market. Glowshift has been stepping there quality in the last few years as electrical components get cheaper, but the prices haven't really dropped much. You get what you pay for.

You can always do a google search also and see the thousands upon thousands of bad reviews. Don't every buy their pillar pods either. They sent me 3 in a row that weren't anywhere close to fitting, than told me that you kind of have to rig it up in there. I also was never offered my money back nor could i get the money back for my gauges after warrantying them out multiple times. If you want a cheap plastic inaccurate gauge that will not last more than a year go with glowshift. If you want something that you know will last buy autometer or aem. Hell even eqquis gauges are better quality than glowshift.

Based on your years old experience? I am pretty sure that the people with recent experience are more valuable than those with a grudge. You said your piece now move on.

I used their gauges never a problem i used several in the years many threads, on this i liked them, some will some dont its really going to come down to you. We all will have our opionons, on everything.

I have 5 of their gauges, and tested them against many "top/name" brand ones. I have volt, Oil press, Oil temp, and Water temp, and all are either spot on, or 1-2 off from other brands. I have the red digital series, and love them.

I'm not a fan of the 'tinted' lenses companies like glowshift, prosports, and the rest of these clones have... same gauge different name. I did some research a few months ago and for every 'I love them' comment I found on a forum I found a 'I hate them' or 'they're junk' post. Good luck.

For me I think accuracy and visibility are paramount. Autometer has a good reputation but having used VDO for years in all my other cars I'll vouch for their quality and accuracy <--- my $0.02

I bought some, but did not install them yet. They feel heavy and not cheap, but that just off feel. I read they are good, and they have high positive feed back. There gauge pod on the other hand, find another one, the glowshift gauge pod is flimsy plastic that barley fits me Talon, even though that is what it's made to fit.

Call them up and talk to them. I already asked all the questions people have. Everyone remembers when their gauges were garbage (because they didn't even offer gauges until they purchased SPW who made horrible gauges). Since then they have re-designed their entire line and switched manufacturers.
