On 2gs was a electric hatch release available, and what trim or model was the center console with a arm rest on.

None had an electric hatch release. And I'm pretty sure they all had the arm rest.

Not every 2g has a lid on it. Base, base models didn't. Looks weird. Also, there door panels are even weirder.

Really? I would like to see a pic of one without one now. My friend used to have a pretty basic Talon, but it had a lid still. It didn't even have the remote trunk release.

OP, Most came with the arm rest. It shouldn't be hard at all to get your hands on one. I got one off ebay for $10 last fall.

Well mine has pw pl cruise a/c cabled trunk release with no center arm rest.

Are there no screw holes for the hinges on the non-lid center consoles. So he might have to get a whole console with lid.

I got the entire center console with arm rest for $10 shipped. It was a gray one though. If the OP's interior is black, he may have to spend a bit more.

No screw holes. Its more like a tray for coins and small junk

Apparently some extreme base models had no tach either. Does yours have a tach OP?

haha that no tach is weird, they wouldn't save that much money not having it in there. Wonder what the thinking there was?

Even my 97 RS had a tach.

My 98 RS didn't have a lid, but it honestly was kinda nice because you end up having a second cup holder. Not one that you could trust for going around corners but a second one none the less.
