Just got my iPad installed in my dash using the Padholdr mount system. Also have the keyboard tray. I thought I would share some pics.

Title is misleading. This is not a "IN" dash install. If it was it'd be installed INside the dash. Other then logging I see no use for this.

You could use it to play angry birds while driving. But then again, please do us all a favor and keep your eyes on the road.

To answer what is it? It's basically a car PC. Possibilities for use are limited by your imagination. It could be used for gauges, logging, Music, Video, GPS, just to name a few... You obviously wouldn't use the device while driving. The Head-unit can control all the audio functions without having to touch the iPad. The bracket can swivel so the passenger can use the device. It comes on an off in seconds.

I don't really like it. There's a point where things get too big. Just my opinion. Also was mislead by the title thinking it was a flush install IN the dash. This is just a mount with a couple of screws so meh.

With the keyboard it looks like the setup in patrol cars. ' license and registration please - well officer I don't have my license but I can look up directions to your house. ' on a more serious note it would be useful for gauges and such in the future when that stuff starts coming with the wifi option. But I do have to agree that its way to big for the space its in.
