well i got my tsi fwd automatic about a month ago and ive had some problems with the transmission that have been addressed as well as some problems with the motor idling hard and moving between 2k rpms and about 900 rpms. while its idling if you try to push the throttle the motor either revs up tp 3k rpms and trys to kill itself or bogs way down like im floodin the motor or its not getting enough air or to much air im not quite sure. also when i shift from park to drive or reverse the car moves under its own power but as soon as you give it some gas it dies. any suggestions are well appriciated. ive already changed the fuel filter thinking that was a problem but that didnt change much. if you wants a video of wats happening let me kno. thanks for reading my post :)
 
I was having similar problems a while ago, and it turned out to be a series of overlooked problems. When it's running, is there a lag in your throttle response? Is the engine running really rough? Do you have any aftermarket parts added, like larger injectors? are you noticing if you're running over rich or lean?

I had a pretty similar experience, and it turned out to be that my intercooler piping had gotten disconnected at a coupler, my tps needed to be adjusted, and that I was running way too rich and needed to re-tune my ecu. What else have you done to diagnose the situation?
 
the car is completly stock, it even still has the side mount intercooler and stock bov with the recirculating hose disconnected and the hole on the intake blocked off, as for the throttle i can slowly roll into it and it will rev up pretty high like 4k and there is no blow off which i thought was weird, but if you just stab it it seems like it just dumps gas into the motor and does absolutely nothing but bog way down and try to stall itself
 
First, our car's blow-off is ment to be recirculated unless this car has a blow through set-up (air sensor AFTER the BOV) or speed density. You should unblock the intake and reconnect the BOV hose from the BOV to the intake. Then follow up with a full boost leak test starting at the throttle body elbow with some soapy ass water and look for bubbles. Follow this up by checking at the BOV section and finally from the turbo inlet. You might also check to see if the MAS is plugged in or possible see if it is malfuctioning by swapping it out.

Also does the issues occur when the car is at temp or when cold?

I had close to the same problem wen I bought mine. New plugs and wires do a world of good if you haven't replaced them yet. Also, in the name of all that is holy, reconnect the recirc hose on your bov. At gear change, that'll make you run rich and foul out the plugs even faster.

If neither of those work, do a boost leak test and adjust the tps.
