sprung or unsprung ACT street disc

I need to decide between an ACT srung or unsprung street disc to go with the Xtreme (2600) PP and streetlite flywheel. There isn't much info about the unsprung street disc anywhere online. What are the pros-cons of the unsprung? How obnoxious-noisy is an unsprung street disc?
 
Trying to decide between the street disc sprung or unsprung, they make it both ways. This will be for street driving, although I plan to take it to the local 1/8 mile track occasionally.

5k miles into every sprung hub clutch I've driven and it spits a spring. ACT, Clutchmasters, Spec, XTD, all of them.

5k hard miles but still.
 
It is more or less stock now, soon it will be far from stock. I am getting a bigger turbo, ecmlink, injectors, intercooler, 1g throttle body, as well as transmission at Jack's right now. I have read about springs coming loose, and high rpm lockout from the sprung street disc. I will have lots of money in the trans including the new flywheel, and really don't want to deal with any transmission related problems for a while.
 
As far as driving nice, I get all I can stand of driving slow in my Explorer. I'm still missing my 1991 Corvette that hurricane Ivan ruined for me, and I'm ready to stop driving nicely.

I'm not scared of a little noise if it's more reliable. Could the solid hub cause faster wear on the gears-transmission?
 
I used it for a year and it worked just fine with a little hatch rattle noise and expected vibration. I will be using a new one just like it with a small increase in power (around 350whp).
 
I also got tired of sprung discs chewing up springs and spitting them. Ive ran act solid discs and now run an xtd stage 4 clutch with a solid 6 puck and couldnt be happier. The only thing getting used to is just taking off in first gear.

Solid disc is lighter and as soon as you give it gas it responds instantly. I dd my car too.

+1 the springs are a joke and a gimmick.

I run that same clutch and love it; never even noticed a difference the first time driving it out of my shop.
