Im looking into buy this 91 gsx, and the guy built the engine himself with the following stuff, he says he has receipts for it all. But tell me if it sounds well built...

The Built Motor:
Has a 8000rpm red line
O-ring Block (keeps from blowing head gaskets)
Arias piston .040 over bore and 9:1 compression for less turbo lag
Crower Rods
Crower Titanium Retainers
Kibblewhite Bronze Valve Guide
HKS Valve Springs
Speed Pro Rings
Mild Port Head
3 angle Valve Job
Stainless Steal Valves
Crank turned and balanced
engine balanced
balance shaft removed
SCE Copper Head Gasket
ARP Head Studs
New Timing Belt
New Timing Belt Tensioner
All Clevite Bearings are new
and more

Another question, how do the 9:1 comp pistons affect boost? Like is it dangerous to run alot of boost now, or maybe its ok cause its so well built? And how much boost would be safe to run in that engine?

Lastly, im gonna test drive the car soon, is there anything in particular i should look at? Im mainly interested in making sure that engine is working good and built like he says, so far im planning on doing a compression test. Any other suggestions, tips would be great. Thanks guys!

if all of that stuff is in it, it should bad azz, i see nothing has been done,to the tranny, check the turbo shaft for play, see how long ago it was built, make sure to see all reciepts, and i have no idea, about how much boost you can run, with 9-1 pistons,

If the motors still somewhat fresh & has been tuned while in the car , then I say it sounds sweet. High comp under boost will give you a higher output of power.
