first of all im not asking if I will get what others have on their similar set ups im asking if its possible for me to reach 300 awhp on 91 pump gas alone with out the need of running ether meth injection or E85.

my set up is as follows:
2g stg one dsm graveyard head with 272 Delta cams.
6bolt block with evo9 pistons w/.020 over.
B/S eliminated
fully ported e316g
1g tb
255 wally
AFPR
INJECTORS (THINKING 850CC)
3inch turboback w/ hiflow cat
ported 2g header
front mount
ECM LINK V3 LITE

(MY profile is updated for more info)

i live in sunny north cali and i dont really have close access to E85 for starters and my only option is 91oct.
i plan to take my car to FFTECH out in the bay for a dyno tune after i finish i breaking in my engine and clutch. this is for DD use i know FFTECH is a reputable shop but i want other advice and or hear from ppl who have succeeded with similar situation. WITH PROOF if possible.

You should have no problem making 300whp on that set up on 91, you may need meth though.

Is that motor already built? You don't really need a built motor to get 300whp, nor an upgraded head or cams. I'm sure it can't hurt but why spend the money if you don't need it yet.

It will depend on how the tune is and in what condition your car/mods are. 300awhp on 91 is possible, but is far less common to achieve than what people imagine. Invest in some meth and I know you can hit that mark fairly easily.

why do you want to hit 300whp without meth?
its possible but meth is cheap and will make you reach you're goal much easier

Fftec is a good shop, sean tuned my two homies evo's, one made 300 awhp 91 pump and the other 450awhp 100oct. That shops deals with mainly mitsubishi and they currently have the highest hp evo and faster 1/4 evo in norcal at the shop.

I fully understand on not wanting to rely on meth and e85 for a daily. And 300 should be doable and with your injectors I think a a 25psi tune with a good front mount should meet and exceed your goals

I have a 95 awd 5 speed with a ported big 16g, FMIC, 255 pump & AFPR, 680's, 3" exhaust, 2g piston & 1g rod 6 bolt swap, no B Shafts, Comp cams stage 1 cams, Fidanza flywheel and clutchmasters clutch, SAFC, tuned to 296awhp on 93 at 20 psi of boost. So I think 300 on your setup is definitely possible. You have much more available for tuning with ECMLink and it will pay off when you hit the dyno.

Oh, and a ported 2g header? :p

Sorry I forget abought 91 oct. I run 22psi with 93oct on a bigger sbr 50trim. And I'm very new with link and do my own tunning and I tune for 0 knock. I only have 680 injectors with a Wally 255. I can run more boost but my act 2100 doesn't like it. So I'm guessing I'm in the 300+ range? It is rated for 350hp. I don't know much abought 91oct never ran it or see it around here.

would 20lbs of boost be safe to push on a completely stock bottom end or is it to much?

If the bottom is built right with stock parts, good oil pressure, and the tune is safe, I would say no problem.

how big of a diffrence is 91oct compared to 93oct ... its only 2 more right :)

Here is some basic info on octane...

Octane rating - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

On evonet, a member mentioned he was able to run 6 degrees more of timing running 93 vs 91, which was also 20-25whp.

Basically, higher octane levels mean it can resist knock more (RON). So when people ask "how much boost can i run" gas can sometimes be a factor. I can "safely" run maybe 1 or 2 psi more then others if they arent capable of purchasing 93 like i can.

well motor is build since my stock one had bad rings and an oil leak so i did a complete motor. and to think it all started cause my slave cylinder went out LOL

because i dont want to have to buy any more parts to the car for now and if i was gana mix anything i would rather run full e85 but

i know these two options guarantee my goal but rather avoid it.

since e85 is at least a 20 min drive to fill up.

Filling your methanol reservoir is the equivalent task of filling your windshield wiper fluid tank. You don't even need to mix your own meth, just run the blue stuff. Anyway, if you need to make 300awhp on 91, just make sure your car is up to mechanical health with ZERO boost leaks (I mean zero, as in boost leak test it to a true 25 psi) and let your tuner know what you want. You can always cheat and go to a dynojet dyno vs. a mustang dyno, too; since they read higher.

how expensive is it to run meth? and where do i get it?

of course i will be doing a boost leak test before taking it to fftech who uses a mustang dyno by the way. no cheating for me LOL

and its not just having to refill the tank its the having to buy and install the kit in my car. rather invest on an evo3 intake mani and exhaust mani.
