Best place to send your eprom ecu to get socketed

I third ECMTuning. Let's see how high we can get the ECMTuning recommendations. :D

Are you buying ECMlink from ECMTuning or from a private party? If you buy from ECMTuning socketing is only $30. They can also replace the capacitors and clean up any leakage/corrosion. There's an extra charge for that, but better to have the peace of mind.

damn, everyone beat me to it

ECMtuning does a wonderful job, when my eprom fried I sent it out, took less than a week for repairs to be made! +5 for sure!

ECMTuning, Inc.

I would use the information listed there and ask them what their turn-around is. I sent two in at the same time, but they were spares and I wasn't in a hurry. I sent it via USPS (3 days to get there), Eric and I e-mailed back and forth about the work to be done on both ECUs, they started the next day, I paid for the work 2 days later and I had the ECUs two or three days later via UPS.

My turn-around was about 10 days, but I let Eric know that I was in no hurry and if it took two weeks for turn-around, I was okay with that.

For a simple socket/caps job, ECMTuning can typically ship the ecu back out the same day it's received.

i socketed mine but I also work for an electronics repair facility. I've done some work for people locally and I've never had a problem.

I recommend ECMtuning. They have wonderful costumer service and outstanding people to deal with. I bought my V3 through a private party, Took the ECU in and watched them do it. Wonderful people and I think I paid 50 or 60 bucks but I had to have some extra cleanup done as my cap had busted. Once again ECMtuning!!!!!!

I sent ECMtuning a email and got a very fast response. I'm about to go through them with my socketing.

Also i finally found a place a around here with a dyno that will tune my car for about $75 for 3 pulls + tuning which i feel is pretty fair. Thanks again for all the info guys!! I really appreciate it.
