So I have my oil feed coming from the OFH right now. This is a 1990 OFH with the oil cooler still attached.

I will be using an OEM banjo bolt to connect the line to the turbo oil port, but was wondering if I need a restrictor on the OFH itself. I don't want to run into issues with over-oiling the turbo and having the oil blow out of the seals and whatnot.

Any insight?

if you got the line from ebay the restrictor is in the line that bolts closest to the OFH. let us know if you see the restrictor.

I honestly don't know where the line was from because this was already on the car when I bought it. If I'm not mistaken, the only connection on the OFH is a 90* fitting and then the line screws onto that directly. I will have to look at it again though to make sure.

ETA: Yea, I went out to check and it had a 90* fitting off of the OFH and then the line screws onto that. Then on the turbo side, there is a banjo bolt, a banjo fitting, and then the line screws into the banjo fitting.

No, I know the rear one is gone for sure...not sure if the front one was left in or not. The previous owner had the motor out of the car during the rebuild, so I can only assume both shafts were removed since the whole bottom end was disassembled.

Where would I pick up a .075 restrictor? Is the FP filter my only option?

ETA, the one in my car looks pretty much identical to this kit

I am using a -4 braided line from bonehead performance from the head to the turbo along with an earls filter. On the MHI turbos the restrictor is in the bearing housing itself so no restrictor is needed but personally getting your oil from the head gives the turbo the correct pressure it needs.
The original 14b turbo on my 1g lasted 100k before I started to mod it so it seems to like that pressure to last 100k so im sticking with it.
BTW Im on a MHI 16g.
You can run it from the filter housing as I did that for many years and is fine I just desided this on what the turbo rebuilder recomended would be best for it.

-4AN Turbo Oil Restrictor

On the MHI turbos the restrictor is in the bearing housing itself so no restrictor is needed....
Take a look at the oiling hole inside the banjo bolt end of a factory 1G feed line...you'll notice a restrictor built into the feed line.

If the turbo itself did the restricting you would theoretically NEVER be able to over-oil it, although it is possible to over-oil a MHI turbo that is fed from the filter housing on certain cars...so your statement is not valid.

So that restrictor you linked to will fit on the 90* fitting from the OFH and then connect to the -4an oil line OR will it connect to the banjo fitting at the turbo oil inlet?
