2G More hp for a gst

FWD isn't a restriction in making power, in fact there is less drivetrain loss in a FWD car then in an AWD one. It does however hold you back from putting that power to the ground.

Anyway check out the upgrade path on this site for a good general idea of how to gain power.

its possible , how much boost are you running at the moment with the 16g??

maybe you need a good tune and then you will not ask for more power , some dsms with 16g are making over 350 HP.

if you ask me i wont do it if i use the car as a daily driven.

good luck

300 in a FWD should be almost un-tractable on the street with normal tires. I was making an honest 312hp on pump gas and eating most cars alive that i came across, tractionm was my biggest issue.. this was on a 57 trim turbo and 720cc injectorsa... i added another fuel pump, went to 1kcc injectorsm starteed running e85 and went up to 431 hp

Now when i was in the 300's i HAD to buy a good trans with Quaiffe diff in order to hook up at all on regular tires and i waws even peg leg roasting MT 26'' slicks at the track.

Have you been to the dyno? and what are you using to tune? (nvm saw ECU plus but not familiar with it).. I would betwith a true 300 you would think you had 400 (most people do)

When i was finally pushing over 400 een with a good diff and suspension i'm back to not hooking up at all hardly, i start roasting street tires in posi mode at only 19-29psi andd a good tune ( i run haltech engine management)

My car is also a 97gs-t

You can have a look at my mods and see what it takes to egt where i am (that's what i did when i saw other's cars that i wanted to be in the same ballpark with)

I see in your sig that you have a 16G with meth injection...

Seems like meth injection on a 16G at 17psi is a waste. Dont we usually get meth injection to push a little higher boost on pump? At 17psi on a 16G you have no reason to spray. Your also getting 300whp at 17psi? You must be talking about crank right? No offense dude but Im kinda stumped.

In my opinion...If you want more power "TO THE GROUND;)" you might want to sell that 16G and get at least a 50 trim, Gt30/35, HX-35, ect. That 16G can get upwards of 350- 400 hp but you need a lot to get you there, not to mention a very very skilled tuner.
I think its a watse trying to push a 16G to a place where its all but used up. Read the upgrade path and go from there. Why you have meth injection is beyond me but hey..whatever floats your boat. It will come in handy later on down the road. Remember to make "REAL" power, it takes money. You would be better off trying to squeeze that last psi out of your 30r tune, than with your 16G. Just my 2 cents. Look at some of the people's sig's pushing 400-500hp and you'll know what your up against. And you "CAN" make power with a FWD..There's lots of people doing it..Again..it just costs more. GOOD LUCK:thumb:

Glenn, what are running for "street" tires? I personally got the Kumho MX line, but the new Nitto NT05 tires look awesome.

Or maybe the NT01 (or similar)?

Normally I run whatever i find on the rack that seems like a good tread pattern and a decent compound, From BFG's to yokohama. I usually try and get as big as i can fit on there too for traction :D Yoko's being my favorite (but i've never tried a nitto on my car, been too let down by them on other peoples rides) but maybe cause theyw ere super low pro 555's

You should see the MONSTERS i have on my car now, I Just pulled off some 205/55/16's and put on some 225/60/15's (but that's cause i got em for nothin and was in desperate need of tires) i been dead broke lately, but fortunate these are awesomely grippy tires for sedan shoes.

But when i have my choice no tires been more overall satisfying on the street for me than the Yokohama Advan's I have ran a few sets of, they are a great balance of straight line grab and cornering prowess and will get ya home if the rain starts while you're out.. other than that i prowl on slicks when i can , that's how we roll in omaha :D
