good MBC? [Merged 5-8]

I am ready to give up my home made mbc. Does anyone know of a really good MBC, minimal to no boost spike?

I would go with the MBC from www.slowboyracing.com personally. I don't know of anyone who's had boost spike problems with their unit and they leave you a little extra metal so you can make a mounting bracket and not worry about tapping into the hollowed out part. The other bonus is you get a lifetime warranty.

I've noticed that a lot of guys experiencing boost spikes have quick spooling turbos like the T25, Big T28 and even Big 16gs.

DNA claims to have a NO "boost spike" MBC....Anyone familiar with this or has experienced any problems with DNA MBCs?

Any more feed back appreciated.

The XBC ROCKS! No spikes at all, ROCK SOLID. A little expensive, but worth every penny.

Well the Hallman and JoeP's are nice mbc for the money. Very simple design to. I never had boost spike at all with mine. There are things you can do help out with spike without getting a new controller. Using shorter less restrictive lines and making sure all connections are good to go. Removing anything (t fitting's or bcs's) that doesn't need to be there to.

Ive seen the TurboXS XBC and it looks like very nice quality. I just bought myself the SBR mbc that Mike custom makes. I think they are only 50$, lifetime warranty and are awesome quality. Machined nicely, nice blue coat on it and huge inlet/outlet (another boost spike helper). Looks great and I am very satisfied with it. Easy to adjust, lifetime warranty and looks great and has much nicer quality then the JoeP I had before it...

Ok i need a MBC i got one off the net wich was a peice of crap and couldnt get it to set to the boost level i needed it would fly up to 25 or 30 so screw that crap i need a very good one that you use or have heard some good things about im running stock psi on my Agp T28 and tonight i got wooped up on by some punk in a Vw GTi im not sure what he had done but sure pissed me off so im going to find that punk and rip that car a new Azzs.

So let me know whats the best one where i dont need 5 wrenchs to adjust this thing too and try to keep under 100 bucks

hallmans are good.. turbo xs are good... joe p are good...just don;t get those cheap ones that people sell on Ebay..I recommend a ball spring type then a bleeder type to..

If you plan on modding more or racing at a track skip the mbc and go ebc. You won't regret it like a mbc in a few months.

I dunno either. Maybe it should've said: "If you're too lazy to get out and go under the hood to adjust your MBC the few times a year that you want to change boost levels, go EBC."

Back on topic, I like my TurboXS HPBC (which I've had for over a year) and would recommend it.

SLowboy MBC $57.83 with shipping to my door. Yours maybe different but hey not by much. It works like a charm and the only thing you will need is to go to AutoZone and get some rubber hose and your set for under $60.

*caution* an Electronic Boost Controller will not compensate for a shitty launch method, if you think it will then think again. Make your own or buy a used one on www.gopartstrader.com and save yourself some modding money. I have a hallmanMBC, and it works flawlessly.
