The hole for recirculating is blocked off on my FP 4" intake. I figured this is how it came.

I bought the car with a Blitz SS BOV that was vented although I have a MAF.

Now I have a NGR Type S that I'm trying to recirculate but took off the washer and nut and see I have this little thing blocking the hole with a bolt coming out of it.

How do I open this up to recirculate it?

It looks jb welded in place. I'd drill holes on the plug and chisel it out as best I could. Then a dremel and rip out all the jb weld or whatever is holding in place.

:thumb:well basically you gotta open that hole, ###### put a nut on that bolt and pull like a mofo, if the bolt just comes out and the rubber/plastic stays then you gotta pry it out, or cut it..then just simply get a matching hose, cut to length and attatch it to the vent on the BOV and the hole on the intake

Not to thread jack but what kind of hose. My factory hose doesn't line up to well it is bent to much. Is there a special hose or can I go to Auto-zone and just pick up some. LMK. Thanks!

I just went in and into the back(they're pretty nice here about letting you do that kind of stuff) and kept checking hoses (radiator hoses) until I found one that fit.

any hose you can fit over both ends, rubber is fine, just make sure its not kinked at all.

you work at a salvage yard or something?

Nope, I just went into Advanced Auto.
I know the manager there but not the guy who was working today but he still let me just go to the back and take hoses out and go test fit them on my car outside and keep doing that until I found the one that I needed.

My hose is going to be a bit kinked though, I'm hoping it doesn't hurt
The way my BOV sits and the way my intake is really makes it hard.

This picture is for something else I was doing but it still shows how my BOV / Intake Piping lines up, makes it a real PITA. This pic is the old Blitz SS but the Type S is about the same:

clean lookin setup, 2 isues i have with it, my opionion obviously tho...
your upper IC pipe is hindering your BOV location, if you could get it flanged on the top like everyone else's youd be able to recirc easier, at this point you will probably use a tube like what blinky is rollin, cannot be kinked at all...if your not translated on your MAF (MAF-T) you have to have that recirculated otherwise your just robbing performance. granted it sounds good...but thats like wearing a 800dollar suit to an interview at burger king...all show, no go ;)

second thing, i really hope thats a clearcover on the timing set...1 object in that timing line will blow your engine, i know it looks cool and all, but how cool will it look with a broken cam end, demolished head, bent/broken valves, car fire, broken balance shaft, and broken wallet look?:nono:

what it would look like if your upper IC pipe was correct

my timing cover was off cause i was working with the motor mount in that pic :)

and unfortunately I don't have the funds to look into a different IC piping :/

well, you can make it an allmost free fix, check to see if you have any adjustability in where your uicp sits, if you can move it around pretty good, you could take it off, cut before and after the flange and link it back togeather with some ic connection sleeves and use t-bolt style clamps to put it back togeather, then it will be able to mount propperly, that upper looks like it was made for non recirculation setup unfortunately...that or get a MAF-T and a maf from a chev, 96-97 LT1 preferrably.

*edit- looking closer at the pic, you'd have to hang that BOV upside down to even be remotely close....your gonna have to replace that uicp with one that actually fits or +1 the MAFT, only choices i can see there..
