boost leak??

I am very new to this site and to my Eclipse gst (bought it a week ago) but anyways i was driving down the road and noticed my factory boost gauge wasnt moving as it was earlier in the day and when i first bought. It boosts pretty good in the higher gears such as 4th and 5th but as for my lower gears its not doing much at all..it will get to the first little hash mark but it wont go any further. when i rev the engine around 2000 or 3000 rpms the boost gauge just stays at the little hash mark also. Ive tried to do a little research and all i can think of is a boost leak? SO i guess the real question is..what is my problem..A boost leak or something else??

You need to get a accurate boost gauge

yea i totally agree on the more accurate boost gauge but ive only had the car a week now and ive just noticed a drop in boost in the last day.. is that normal?
