Oil pressure relief valve end bolt torque

I ported my OFH today and it was damn close to perfect IMO. Everything was all done and started to put it back together. Well, I went to put the end bolt on and ended up getting over tightened and cracked the NEW housing. Anyone that has done this mod before, what is the proper torque for that bolt. There is nothing on the forum for this and it's odd too with the relief valve threads.

I am going to dig this up from the grave because I feel it is better to post in an existing thread then start a new one so,

I just got done porting my relief hole and want to tighten that plug to spec and here is my problem, haynes manual says oil pump relief valve plug 11-13 ft lbs and the fsm says relief plug 29-36. So which is it? A poster above said 33 so that falls right in the middle of the factory service manual spec...

29-36 ft lbs seems more correct then 11-13. I just don't want to crack mine either.

Are you asking whether to trust Haynes or the Mitsubishi factory service manual? Trust Mitsubishi. It's 33 ft. lbs.

Ok cool. I have a PDF version of the 91 service manual for talon and just bought a paper copy of the two book set for 92 talon/laser off eBay, so ill refer to that or here for torque specs instead of the Haynes manual. So when it gives a range just go in the middle is good rule of thumb?
