Alright i searched to threads on clutch opinions only to find the newest post was from 4 years ago....So im trying the get some opinions from everyone now with newer clutchs. The only clutches i have ever driven on in my GSX was the stock clutch and an ACT 2100 with street disc...Im trying to get peoples opinions on fidanza clutchs, ACT, Clutch Master, etc. Also differences and Pros and cons between a puck style disc and street sprung disc. Right now i have a blown ACT 2100 and i am looking for a new one, I have a Fidanza light weight fly wheel and need help to match up a good solid clutch in the 3-400 dollar range that can be drive on regularly.

Thanks guys:thumb:

Im using the 2600 PP with clutchnet 6puck sprung disc (redlight series) and it works great. I blew a spring out of my SBR 3500 street disc and got these at a steal. Id def recommend them.

I bought it off a guy parting out his car, the clutch was brand new though off him. I stated in the post im using the Act 2600 pp. with this disc. I ended up getting both for about 200-250$ I forget the exact amount.

I bought an ACT mb010 pressureplate and a clutch.net Kevlar disc. I have a stock flywheel. The feel is very good and not too grabby. My wife does not care for it as it's a little too grippy for her. It is very smooth engaging and has a sprung hub. I talked to Ole or one of the other guys at clutch, net about the facings they use. If I was to launch the car alot I would have gone to a sprung puc style. The Kevlar is the ticket for me right now with a 350hp goal. Tres...

sorry u didnt say it was a ACT u just said 2600PP

but i think im going to stick with act 2100 or 2600 with a puck style disc...or try the clutch net or if anyone else has a good option

I'm running the ACT 2600 clutch w/street disc. I came off an ACT 2100 clutch with a street disc and the newer clutch is alot grabbier, had to relearn how to release the clutch but it improved with break-in. Why do you want to run a puck disc?

ive been looking into this also ive been thinking about a 2100 with a 6puck sprung. says it will hold my power goals i just dont know about the puck clutch either. i assume its grabbier but i didnt know how much. also i have a zoom in now with a kevlar street disc its starting to slip does anyone know if i can swap in a act 6 puck disc? sorry im not trying to jack your thread just have the same issue as you

You could just buy a new disc and reuse the PP. That would be the cheapest route. I can only recommend a twin disc for a good clutch, cause they are a lot nicer to drive with then any other clutch I have used.

I got good torque capacity out of my ACT2100 clutch, maybe +400 ft-lbs at least, but it just started slipping in cold weather unless it was good and heated up. With my tranny problems, last thing I need is a solid hub or puck disc.

i dont nessecary want a puck clutch...i wanted to hear what everyone else had to say about them. I have had bad reviews on fadanza....everyone likes ACT so i think im going with the ACT 2100 or 2600 with a street disc and OE throw out bearing

If you think everyone likes act you havn't looked very far. Yes it is a popular clutch but there are many threads stating the problems ppl have had. And as I said before, the Fidanza 6 puck 4.3 is nicer on the street in traffic than my ACT 2600 with a street disk was.
