I am in, Rhode Island
My current setup is a forged bottom end with a ported head, big valves, 264/272 HKS cams, and a forced performance 3052.

I'm planning to switch to GSC S2 cams, and add the only thing i don't have, a JMF Race mani.

FWIW, i dyno'd 363whp@20psi with fuel problems, a stock intake manifold, and cams that are too small. With the bigger cams, intake mani, and more boost, i expect to make mid 400s on pump fuel.

I am debating cam gears, and wonder if they are worth the investment. What could i expect to gain?

Searches didn't reveal any concrete, or even ball park info.

Thanks

Cam gears just give you more tuning options. So what you should expect to get is some gears that allow you to retard and advance timing to run more efficiently under heavy load.

So, you should expect to be doing a bit more tuning to eliminate knock, and fire each cylinder at maximum efficiency. This can yield you 0.2 HP to 20 HP etc.

Thanks, I had a feeling there was going to be no real info on this.

Anyone else?

Yep, just something else to get your goals. The best thing about them is being able to make better low end or mid or top by just changing the degrees.

You can't honestly say you didn't find anything worthwhile on a search...
