On my old 6bolt water/ oil cooler setup i only saw that there was one sensor attched and that is the oil pressure sensor. My 90 air/oil cooler setup has two fittings ,so another one for oil temp. Should i get an oil temp guage? I dont think my factory 95 GST guages even have a temp sensor. Do i need to attach an oil temp sensor to this new 90 oil filter housing? Thanks

None of our cars have a oil temp from the factory.. The other fitting is for a (low oil sending unit) and ofcorse the other one is (oil pressure sending unit)..

Thank you, So did my 95EclipseGST originally come with a low oil sensor? I just think i have an oil pressure guage and thats it.

Yes your 95 has one too!! You have an oil light in your dash, you might see it when you turn the key on without starting it.. It will be a red light, around the lower part of your guage cluster.. You dont have to use this (low oil sending unit) it wont through the light on when its not pluged in..

All i could find is a pic of the sensor i already have. Im looking for a part number or a place online that sells this other sensor, but if i remember right, this sensor shown in the first pic let me know last time via that red light in my instrument cluster that my oil was low, so do i need this "low oil pressure sending unit" , this smaller sensor? I cant find one online anywhere. Anyone have a part number of the sensor in the second pic upper left "smaller sensor"? This is on a 95EclipseGST but on a 1g engine. I dont even know where to find the wires that originally went to this smaller sensor. If i just have an after markert oil pressure sensor, is that all i need anyway?

No you dont need it. Some times when that light comes on, its done to late.
Half the time they dont work right anyhow..

Thank you. Yeah, mine didnt come on last time until i had already spun a rod bearing and the car was overheating. I think i need at least an oil pressure sensor hooked up with this new engine. Im thinking of an autometer cobalt. Do i need this oil pressure guage sender to go with this new cobalt guage? Or can i use my stock sender?EXTREME PSI : Your #1 Source for In Stock Performance Parts - Auto Meter 100 PSI Electric Oil Pressure Gauge Sender

Id say your going to have to use the Auto meter sending unit for the gauge to work..

Thanks Talondave ! I guess thats next on my list. Any other guages that are equally important that i should get right now? I have an aftermarket boost guage and thats all i have at the moment.

AEM wideband is almost as important as a boost gauge!! I would work on getting one of those some time soon, they are very helpful for tuning needs..
And its a pretty cool gauge to look at while your cruisen/rippen!!!
