What's the little round thing on the drivers side motor mount?

Mine doesn't have that and I've always wondered what it was.

According to CAPS, it's an Eng Mounting Bracket Dynamic Dampener. I don't think I've ever seen it in the FSM though.

I have one on my 2g and always wondered what it was for 2.my buddy has a 2g and he don't have it on his car.did they come on certain cars.I have a early 95 2g and mine also has blue 450cc injectors.also the dealer tells me I have a race trans in my car just from the vin #

HA! i always though it was some kind of stupid dampner ... i had a 97gst and a 95 gsx and they both have had them... but non of my friends DSM's had them and they always asked me what it was

Never heard of a "stock race transmission". Do you have a manual or auto? Did they give some reasoning as to why you have this or what the define as a "race transmission"?

Not true. If you actually put vin numbers in, only some even show the picture, and I only found 1 vin number out of my list that actually showed that the part came on the car.

FWIW, it was an early 95 GSX m/t. The picture in the first post looks to be an early 95 so I wouldn't be surprised it this piece was quickly phased out. But without a longer list of vin numbers to check I can't tell for sure.

The car in the picture is an eagle talon and automatic, if that makes a difference.

I always wondered what went on the motor mount. What does it do?just dampen vibrations from the mount? I kind of want it just because I don't have it, .

Well the vin that came up with the part for me was an Eclipse m/t, so it doesn't appear that Eagle/Mitsu or transmission makes a difference. The part number is MR103757 in case you want to try to get a new one (if they still sell them).
