Has anyone had their fuel door pop open randomly?

It seems that a couple of times a month I'll have to be closing my fuel door between fill ups.
I suspect their is some kind of flex in the chassis that causes this to happen.

Anyone else have this kind of phenomena? Have you been able to solve it?

Sorry, I've never had this happen, check to see if your cable is too tight and it is not latching all the way, also the latch could be worn enough to no longer grab under stress.

This isn't a new thing for me. It's been happening for years.
I'll have to check the latch etc. The fuel door does take a lot of force to close properly, more than what I would think was reasonable, so it's possible that's what the issue is.

When I first started thinking about this I was hot on the trail for ghosts but what made me think it was a flex issue was I heard the door pop open last night just as the car was crossing the crest of my excessively steep 45* driveway.

LMFAO for reals ghosts opening your latch haha!! my friend had a smimilar problem on his he replaced the fuel door and it worked normal again

Mine done this. What I did to fix it was bend the tab on the back side of the fuel door to keep more pressure on it when you close it. Now it stays closed and pops open well when I pull the latch.
