Well, Since i had time on my hands. Past 2-3 weeks i been cleaning up the Bay.. I had a rust hole on my strut tower and my pap covered it up to stop from moving. Well its been a year since that and now i could tap the hole thru. SO . I DID haha. Now i had a HUGE hole and something for me to work on. I dremeled out a square and then grinded down to solid metal and no rust. Afterwards i needed a welder.. A friend of mine gave me his that he doesnt use anymore (a new 400 dollar one .. CRAZY right?) so i brought it home and realized it doesnt hook up to a house plug needed a 50amprage outlet. Lucky for me the welder was free, Had some leftover cash, bought outlet wire and breaker and AGAIN lucky for me Friends dad was a electrician =) He had a beer and put the outlet in.. The next day i practiced welding. And then cut a piece of metal out and formed it then welded her on. (Took welding in high school for 9 months thats all experience i had.) Then I bondo hardened her . Sanded her down. Bondoed again. Sanded again. This is third time, Bondoing lightly and sanding again later. HERES THE PICTURES =D

what u guys think so far? =D Last layer is on now.. Primer and Paint tomorrow

Good job man.
How about the bottom side? The picture shows the top side only. You need to do the same thing on both sides to avoid rusting again.

well, i finally finished the left side.. Letting it dry then starting tomorrow on middle peices (by firewall and radiator) Then Driver side. Ill be covering up the passenger side with a blanket so no debree gets on it while i sand all the other parts =) but here you go. hope you guys liek the paint job.

yeah ive always loved talons and eclipses. so i bought one that needed a rebuild right away.(got it suuper cheap) and other than that rust spot the rest of the car is solid. rebuilding just makes me wanna drive the car that much more and gives the car more value to me thou. cant wait to finish it up and get her out of the garage.

Cosmetically it looks great, but think about how that bondo will hold up to flexing, i mean even the slightest fex in that spot will leave a nasty bondo buggy crack along the hole. I just welded a sheet of metal ontop, then the bottom, grinded it flat, etc etc., only bondo necessary was to even everything out. Still looks great though, im just thinkin bout potholes.

Finished The back by firewall, and did the front and driver side...
Drive side was done well but not great like i hoped.. 4-5 run offs at bottem but engine will cover it to make the engine bay look great =)

o and i sprayed the top ac/power steering lines white. because honestly i didnt feel like taking the time to put them all back, (sorry guys) but everything turned out looking amazing =)

better pictures tomorrow with all the newspaper and towels off
