I just replaced the T belt in my talon. I also added a couple of different camshafts. The seals on the cams were fine. There is oil coming down the front of the block from around the tensioner area. It is not coming from the head as I can see. I do have the front of the engine stripped. I will pull off the tensioner anyway soon but what did I create? I don't want to get my new blue$ belt all oily. I just washed it in the sink. Ran for 2 min. at the most. I had the top cam cover off to see the belt line running and the belt started getting all shiney :( Tres.....

if you get oil on that new kevlar belt you're going to have to throw it away. If you replaced camshafts you had your valve cover off. oil notoriously leaks from the valve cover seals. but you say the leak is by the tensioner. maybe you cracked the front cover.

hmmmm never heard of a oil leak there before. I wouldn't use that belt, not sure about your problem though.
