I went to assemble my 6bolt bottomend today. I popped in the main bearings and on every single bearing there is about 20% of the oil hole being blocked off. The main bearings are ACL RACE Bearings 5M1144H. Modern Performance said that a few sets they tried were the same and ACL told me there wasn't anything they could do and to get a different set of bearings. Has anyone had this problem? Or have any suggestions?

I would call ACL and demand a refund, it is their part and if it is made wrong they should eat the cost not you.

Tried, ACL won't do anything unless I send them the bearings, wait 2 months while they mess aound, and then maybe give me a different set. Modern Performance said they would help me out (thats where I got them) but its not the point, you know? Plus I cant just be waiting around for 2 months on ACL either.

MAPerfomance should pay to ship those back, send you new one's and deal with the warranty issue. I do it all the time at work. It's called good customer service.

Yeah, I'm probably going to call them tomorrow, but I was just wondering if anyone has ever had this problem?

Ok, Modern Performance ordered in a set of clevite Tri-Metal bearings, and before shipping some out to me put a set into a 6bolt block they have at the shop, they don't line up with the oil holes in the block either. Anyone had this problem before? Or have any suggestions?

Clevite contacted me today, apparently they have come across some 4G63 blocks that have slightly different bearings than the rest. The only thing I can do is redrill the oil hole in the bearing (or file it) until it's oval shaped and lines up with the oil hole in the block because no one makes a bearing to fit these random odd-ball blocks.
