Heres the story.. car was stolen a while back (6 months ago) and then it was recovered by the police..

Ever since, when I insert the key to turn the engine over I get nothing. No lights on dash, and no crank or ACC.. I DO get the classic beep beep beep to inform me the key is in the ignition.

I've checked all the fuses under the hood and under the dash that I can find (2 panels plus misc individuals) and nothing is blown. Just to get me going, I ran a wire from a known 12V source under the hood, all the way to the wiring harness to the key switch under the steering column. The fat white wire... the lower left pin looking at the end of the connector. I just sandwiched the wire in and re-connected the harness, and then I can use the key as normal.

While troubleshooting I used a multimeter on the same pin and got close to 9 volts, although with my addon wiring I get 12.5V. I also tried a continuity test between the same pin and the ignition fuse under the hood and got nothing.

I've inspected all the wiring under the dash and under the hood and have found no signs of tampering. I've also removed each fuse under the dash one by one and tried to start the car and have had no luck (other ignition threads have shown possible shorts on other fuses).

Is there another fuse I'm missing or possibly a relay somewhere?

Need insight to point me in the right direction, thanks.

Rick I had the same problem I traded for a g1 eclipse that was stolen. If you have the fuses on the positive batt post. check them. my ACC fuse was blown. it caused the same problems your having. if it is be sure to remove your hot wire..good luck
