hi

So i bought and installed a Prosport Wideband set up. At idle, it reads 13.9, almost 14. When im driving AND BOOSTING, it reads a little over 14. Im pushing 10lbs of boost, I have a big 16g turbo with 550cc injectors, a full 3in. exhaust, a .20 overbore, and its a stock (rebuilt) 6 bolt 4g63. Is this a correct reading or what? Any help is greatly appreciate.

no it barely changes under all driving conditions. and im using the 4.9 bosch o2 senor they send you in the kit.

4.9 sensor is newer, but that doesnt mean its better than the 4.2 sensor which the UEGO and LC-1 use..

careful with this wideband unit...

First off, wtf possesed you to buy a Crapsport gauge? Ditch that POS and get a Innovate setup.

The 4.9 sensor is made for diesel applications, and Crapsport (prosport) uses it cause it is cheaper than the much more common 4.2 sensor.

You should really do a search on the prosport name. They are huge piles of junk...that come with great customer service to suffice for the POS gauge that they are. Threads litter this site, NASIOC, and many other tuner forums saying how terrible of gauge they are.

Seriously though, ditch the prosport and get an innovate gauge. I used to reccomend the AEM wideband as well, but recently tried one and was not impressed.

BTW, you should have readings that fluctuate all over the board depending on idle, part throttle, WOT, etc...if you are not seeing these different values, then you either have serious tune issues or your wideband setup needs to be replaced.

Where did you ground the gauge? did you go from the ecu..?

no i didnt. i grounded it where i grounded all the other gauges i have. (boost, oil pressure). would it act differently if i grounded it on the ecu?

the only reason why i bought the prosport wideband was to match my other gauges. and before i started the car i turned all the afc corrections to 0 so its most likely the whole gauge setup?? i called the tech dep. they have and the guy said he never heard of this problem before. he told me to send it in to get it tested should i just tell them to keep it and refund my money?

make your own call man, but if you were me...i'd ditch it. the wideband from prosport has gotten the most horrible reviews of all. all of thier gauges get horrid reviews, but the wideband is the worst. if you have prosport through your car i'd ditch them all and go with some autometers and an AEM wideband if you're looking for a budget gauge setup. if money isnt an issue, i'd go with some defi's and a innovate wideband

the reason why i went with prosport in the first place is because im on a tight budget, but i still want to be able to tune the car and get the most potential out of the afc neo i have. i saw threads go either way on prosport, so i figured it was worth the gamble. but i think ill give the guy a call and just tell him to keep it and go with a aem wideband AFR its only about $40 more.
