Compression Questions

Hello there again. I just ran a compression test on my engine. It has 110-150 across the board. I realize it is low but was told it is the Camshafts. I have Compcam camshafts and AEM camgears. I have the gears set both at 0. I was wondering if the compression is normal to be that low because of the cams? The car runs good, but a rough idle ( I assume the cams again) Thanks again

The compression should be even across no matter what cams you have. Do a leakdown test to get a better idea of the condition of rings/seats.

150 would be ok, but you are looking at an almost 25% difference in the lowest/highest cylinder. Usually 10% is the max. As stated do a leak down test. Try adding a cap full of oil and redo the compression test. Remember to max sure the motor is warmed up, all plugs are out and throttle is held open during cranking.
