I'm an idiot. I ordered an exhaust a while ago (4 months ago) for my 2G AWD, and never had time to put it on. I finally got the old exhaust off, then I realized that things are not fitting. I'm pretty sure I've got a FWD exhaust, but I just wanted to double check.
That listing is for their GSX exhaust, but I've read elsewhere that the exhaust in the picture (which matches what I have) is a FWD one. Can anyone help me out and just confirm whether that picture really is 2G FWD or AWD? I should have checked when I got it, I just got busy and didn't think to check until now. I'm also assuming it's a 2G exhaust, which it may not be.
Thanks for any help. Yes, I'm an idiot.
Attached pic of exhaust as attachment.

It looks right but upside down if that makes sense lol...Its needs to bend to the left not right..
I wondered the same thing, but the hangers on the muffler are on the top (like in the pic), and the midpipe can't be rotated since it wont fit with the muffler that way.
What exhaust is this? Is this for a 1G or FWD? I haven't seen another pic of one just like it, but it def. doesn't look like a 2G AWD to me (which are mostly straight, then two bends, then the muffler).
I'll go and re-measure, but it's not "true" 2.75. It's 2.75 in some places, necks down to 2.5 in others. The adapter for where the catback would attach to the stock cat is more like 2.25 or so, pretty small. That's a detachable section though, so not a big deal.
Seems like no one can tell if it's 2G AWD or not, I'll call up the vendor and see if they can help. I'm not hoping for much help, since the packing slip says "no refunds after 15 days, no exceptions"... might have to just order a replacement and sell this one.
Says right there its for 95-99 gsx...?
It almost looks like a 1g awd exhaust though.
Yeah, says it's for 95 GSX, but it doesn't match any 2G AWD exhaust I've seen, and I can't find clear pictures of what each exhaust is supposed to look like.
Well that for sure to me looks like a 1g awd exhaust, spits it out on the passenger side. 2gs are opposite, maby its just a photo mishap.
That's damn cheap for a catback.

Thanks for the help. Yeah, it looks built for a right-side exit. The photo and link are for reference only - I own this catback, it's sitting in my garage, and it doesn't seem to fit. I'll try to look up pics of 1G AWD exhausts and see if it matches what I have.
It was very cheap. It was $199 shipped (!) for the catback, and $59.95 + $45 shipping for the downpipe, so $303.95 all inclusive turbo-back stainless shipped. However, take that with a grain of salt since they sent me the wrong one. The downpipe is already on and seems fine.
No thanks! I ran it with just the down pipe on there to move it out of the garage, and it sounds awful. I like fast cars, but fast != loud in my book. After I've run with the straight through ricer muffler for a while, I might spring for a quieter muffler depending on how it sounds. I like a nice sound, but I hate raspy, loud, annoying exhausts. If I want that, I'll just listen as other people drive by my house every day...
so jump froggy would it fit my 1996 talon n/t ? the cat-back part.....
if it would how much would you want to sell it for....?
thanks
I'm not sure what the catback would fit. I'm guessing it's a 2G NT, but I'll have to double check on the fit and the price. Post another message if you don't hear back within a week.
