I have a couple problems going on right now.

1) While trying to remove the Right Rear Caliper to replace a broken stud, I broke the bottom bolt that hold the caliper on to the mounting bracket AND noticed that the top bolt was already broken! I was able to remove the bracket with the caliper, but the top broken bolt is broken in the caliper and the bracket-so I was unable to separate the caliper from the braket. What are the chances that I will be able to remove the bolts if I can get the caliper separated? If I can remove the caliper and extract the broken bolts, should I rebuild the caliper while I have it off? Is this expensive or difficult to do, and should all be done at once if so? Where can I get new bolts for the calipers and mounting brakets (the mounting bracket bolts have some rust at the base of the head.
2) The studs on this same wheel are difficult to screw the lug nuts onto. The threads look just okay, not great and the lug nuts to tighten down all the way. Should I consider replacing the studs?
3) I had broken my Drivers side rear parking cable. I ordered the part from the local Mistu dealer, and it isn't the right part. Could someone with a part number reference check the part number for me? I have a 1993 Eagle Talon TSi and the part I have now is MR407497.

Thanks in advance for the help.

If you wanna be cheap, take you caliper to autozone and replace it for 40 bucks or so. And then go to the junkyard and salvage the bolts from that. The dealer will charge you 13 or so a bolt.

i have three pairs of bad ones that i take parts off of. best option is sit there with a torch on them for a very long time and vicegrips. my friends say i go overboard with it but i almost always get them out, they usually don't. :D

MR407497 That's a left rear parking brake cable for a D52A (3G 2.4L Eclipse 1999-2005).
MB520483 is the part number for a D27A (1G AWD).

Just replace the caliper. If the guide bolt is frozen inside the caliper you not only have to get it out but bore out all the rust and then sleeve it. The odds are that the parking brake actuator is also rusted and you (the average person) can't get the needle bearing needed to rebuild it.

That's all great information. I don't think I would be able to grab a hold of the bolts as there isn't any material really sticking out, and the bolt is so skinny, that drilling and an easy out would be difficult to set. If I replace one side, should I replace the other? They do not need to be done in pairs?
Man that's super annoying that they gave me the wrong part. I called them ahead of time, and then when I got there, asked them to check again. It's starting to seem like the more I mess with stuff, the more I create additional problems! Since I'll have to remove the caliper, I'll have to drain the brake system. Probably a good time for some stainless brake cables I guess.

1st bad experience with the dealership. The parking brake cable is indeed incorrect. Thanks Steve for the correct part number. The dealership didn't want to admit fault, and of course blamed the issue on the car being a Eagle, not a Mitsubishi. Then of course, they argued with me on whether they would take the part back. Steve, how were you able to look up the part number for this?

i have also have had very bad luck with the dealership and other parts store. took me almost a month to get the correct rear spindle bearings. anyway welcome to owning a talon. get a cut off wheel and cut the caliper bolt between the cliper and the mounting bracket (make sure to cut close to the mounting bracket as possible to have room to grab the caliper bolt with vise grips). now take vise grips and remove the bolt from the caliper and go get a hardware kit. or buy a new caliper with the hardware kit, which will save you the time in rebuilding one and fighting with the caliper bolt and vise grips.

I went to the junk yard and got another one, and dsmgraveyard had one here in town, i broke off the bolt into the braket. Tried getting it out but that wasnt working. Now i learned pb blast, and heat it up to get it loose and my impact gun to get old bolts out. I got the bolts from the junk car at the yard.
