ok, so I recently did a hg job and timing belt on my car. while it was down I upgraded to 1000cc injectors and 2gv2 dsmlink. car idles great, but as soon as I go to move it (ie. have it in gear and let off the clutch) it dies....if i mash the throttle when I let off of the clutch it bucks like a bronco.

I assumed it was a tps issue. so i unplugged it....still did it. so I plugged it back in. I can sit in the car, and rev the engine with absolutely no problem. I can hold the throttle partially open with no problem, car will rev and sit at 4000rpm.

I am at witts end. I have put new plugs gapped to .28, new wires, adjusted my base timing, checked the tps, did a wet boost leak test, and have tinkered with my front o2...it does however sit at around .2-.4 volts which i think is a little low.

I have searched the forums MANY times and read through many posts of similar issues. but I cant find an answer....please help.

timing is dead on, cant find any leaks around the intake. mas is plugged in and worked on a friends car fine, car doesnt smoke....just dies, if i mash it it will puff, but thats because it wide open and only firing once or twice....blah this is driving me nutz

check all the ic piping and check all the couplers, ALL of them, tighten every coupler, even the fewest turns can make a big difference, also take off the neg from ## battery for a lil while, hope this helps gl

did a wet boost leak test....which means i did a complete test on my pipes while they were soaked in soapy water so i could see even the smallest leak.

fpr is at 43.5 psi per aeromotive afpr

messed around with it today, found a broken wire on my knock sensor...fixed it....didnt help my problem though....any wisemen car to offer your insight?

global is set at -55% with a deadtime of 345, my sliders in the link are 500 rpm -10%, 100rpm -5% and back to 0 at 1500 on up.... wideband is reading around 15:1 on idle. which is rather lean, but the car isnt under load so it shouldnt be a problem...

the only issues i could think that would cause this in my car would be the fuel pump going bad, or the filter being clogged....but the car revs so smoothly, only at partial throttle does it rev like junk.

if your car turns n fine and only dies while you put it in gear it could mean that your neutral safety switch is bad or needs to be adjusted since it might have moved when you did the timing belt

it doesnt die when i put it in gear........

it dies when i let out on the clutch to make the car move while it is in gear....

fluctuated from 10.9 to 16.6 around in there....

but..... i did a few things today, one of which seems to have solved the issue... i hope.
I opened up the link and retarded the timing globally....2 degrees.
I re-wired my engine coolant temp sensor for the ecu
and I unplugged my battery to let it restart.

car seems to be drivable. ill post up if otherwise.

thought I had it fixed, but it is doing the same thing.... again....
idles perfectly, and will run in reverse...but as soon as I go to move forward...it wants to stall out...any GOOD ideas?

Just a thought, check all the wires from the MAS.

One time, i forgot to plug my MAS back in after an install, car ran just like you are saying.

Is she throwing any CELs?

just my .02.

worked on the car some more earlier, mas is plugged in.....its just odd...it idles great! and if i put it in reverse it doesnt want to stall out...as bad, i mean i can get it rolling and give it some throttle, but i try ANY forward gear and as soon as i let out on the clutch and give it a blip of the throttle it just loses everything, like it stops spraying fuel or spark. if i hold the throttle all the way down it dies, starts, dies, starts, dies which results in a nice bucking back and forth, I have read hundreds of posts on here, nothing helps me. I have seen quite a few posts where no one has even bothered to help the person. I guess if its not " how do i run 10s" no one really wants to post?

thanks to the guys who tried to help so far.

Perplexing, yes. I have been chasing a simular problem since i bought mine. I have been working on it off and on, since i have three other vehicles to play to with. Anyway if your CEL is on check it out and give us the code Your car should run in reverse and third if it is in safe mode and be rich. The bucking bronco senario is usually the tps, but i am not a DSM master. I am pretty new to this as well.
