Just bought a 95 awd shell after got home noticed it is a cali emissions car, what does that mean for my ecu? I searched and could only find info on the 1st gen ones. Also the car will hopefully be running no emissions.

It doesn't mean anything, you have a 95 and that's it. Get down and behind the center console and check to see if your car has an eprom ecu.

As Defiant said, all 2G cars have "Cali" emissions. Also, the 2G ECU's check for all missing emissions equipment, including things like the FPR and EVAP/Purge solenoids. You will need a chip or DSMLink to turn off all the MIL's.
