The gauges light up in reverse

I have a 1995 auto gsx. I finally got it running decent,since it set up for 3 years.
Only problem's i have now are a abs light,gas tank sensors,and When i put the car in reverse the gauge cluster lights up.Not in drive only in reverse.It works normal when the headlights are on. I can fix the tank sensors and abs but need help on the gauge cluster
mystery.

I'm also replacing the fluids in the gsx.I put cheap stuff in there now to clean it out
but i need to know what fluids are the best for the transfer case,auto tranny,and rear differential fluid
mine has the Vicious Coupling or lsd. It's my first awd besides my old celica.My celica was 1988 all trac
turbo, that did not have alot of updated stuff like the gsx has.It had almost no transfer case oil but the
car has not really been moved that much or been beaten on since i bought it. Probably leaked out while it set up.
I have not noticed no leaks yet.

Sounds like a bad connection at the instrument cluster. Pull it out and stick it back in, it will probably work fine.

Either that, or mice ate your wires.

I checked the wiring and did as you suggested but no luck.
I would hate for something too catch on fire later down road,
other than that it don't really bother me.It looks like the people before
me, has wired some stuff so, I'm still sorting through other wiring.

I don't know why rats like eating on wires.My ford truck set in
the garage a year and the rats ate my wiring off the injectors.
It also looked like they ate on the plug wires too.We get them big ugly
grey rats that are not afraid of you.
