[RESOLVED] Knock sensor wiring harness Q. *pics* Wiring/sensor expert needed.

Hi all,

I'm putting my car back together and I decided to check the wiring on key sensors. I found this (see pics below) on my knock sensor connector. It was all taped up and I took it apart to see what was going on.

My question:

Is this normal? No guessing please.

(Click on the pics to be taken to my google web album where you can zoom in on the pics.)

MODS: Please move this thread to whatever section it belongs in

Thanks all,

Tom

Yes, it is normal for the sensor reference ground and shielding to be tied together. The crimp ring at the junction looks OE.
