Opinions on good AFPR..Megan Racing AFPR? Good or Bad?

I was shopping around for an AFPR and have found that most quality afpr's are $200 plus, But extreme psi has the Megan racing afpr for much cheaper then other name brand afpr's...im gonna be running a walbro 255 and 850cc injectors on ecmlink pretty soon and i wanted to know if anyone here has had any experience with the megan racing afpr? i don't want to spend an extra 100 or 150 or so if i don't really need to...also if you guys have any other suggestions for other quality afpr's for the money please share...thanks

I bought a cheapo AFPR before and it didn't hold pressure -- as soon as I shut my car off, the pressure went to 0. It made my car start like crap. I put an OEM FPR on and never had an issue with it.

I believe there are some writeups on Megan afpr. But youre main concern is that it MUST be a rising rate regulator that raises fuel pressure 1psi fuel for each pound of boost like the stock one via vaccuum. There are many options available, bolton and remote mount. Aeromotive has a solid reputation for making a nice, long lastin afpr

Use the search function! This topic has been brought up so many times recently its not even funny. The Megan racing FPR IS NOT a rise rate regulator, it says so on their site so it will NOT work with your car. Some people use them and say they work fine but I wouldn't bet my motor on something like that.

You're probably better off dealing with "overrun" of the stock fpr than the Megan fpr

I used a megan fpr which is just a ebay knock off. It did work and I was running 23psi on a evoIII 16g. Some have done tests and found it was 1:1 but it says it isnt. But I got rid of it now and am using a Fuel Lab afpr. I didnt want to test it any further, you get what you pay for (with some exceptions).

Not to thread jack but on the Megan AFPR how do you know if it is a rise rate. The reason I ask is because im running one of these that I got for free from one of my buddies that builds Hondas and I havent seen any problems yet, and I dont want to run into any soon.

It should say when you buy it, but since you dont know you will have to watch a gauge and see.
