i have 2.5 inch piping and i wanted to replace the LICP 2 inch pipe with it. My question is how do i fit it to the intercooler and the hose coming from the turbo? Do i need to buy new parts to do that?

I'm not saying not to but I don't think you will gain much flow from going to 2.5in piping on the stock SMIC... You will be going from 2.5in pipe down to 2in at the IC then back to 2.5in on the UICP. I would rather see you look into a cheap FMIC system. Or get larger inlets and outlets welded onto the stock IC or get an Upgraded SMIC.

ya but i was going to make the LICP 2.5 and the pipe going to the intercooler and bend a 2.5 to go on the UICP is that possible and it seems like the plastic tubes going to the turbo wouldnt fit a 2.5

i have no money for a new SMIC i just have 2.5 inch pipes for it and i want to improve it until i can afford a new one if anyone could explain to me how to hook these up that would be awesome

I have 2.5 inch tubing for a LICP and i want to run it from the turbo rubber tubing straight to the intercooler does any one know how to install it this way?

I need to install a 2.5 inch straight LICP going fromthe rubber hose to the intercooler does anyon know how to do this?

Could you be a little more specific? Which turbo are you using? Did you buy an actual LICP or is it just an exhaust piping?

ya i have a stock SMIC on a 2g eclipse and i want to change out the stock LICP and exchange it with a 2.5 inch straight pipe leading from the rubber hose coming from the turbo striaght to the intercooler. that way there would be no silencer and it would be a bigger pipe. but i dont knw how to install it fit both ends

i already have 25 inch piping that i want to put on there i was seeing if i could put my own custom pipe on there.

transitioning from 2" to 2.5" back down to 2" is probably more of a restriction than the foot and a half of 2" piping. Unless it is broken or popping off, just leave it until you get a front mount or an upgraded side mount. 2" intake piping really isn't the restriction it's made out to be. Most race intercooler kits only use 2.5" pipes.

ya but i only have 2.5 inch piping dont you think making one full LICP of 2.5 with the silencer taken out would help i just want to remove the silencer and get bigger pipes for a little more flow

ya i know i just want to take out the silencer and add a little bit of a bigger pipe for better flow

Nope. Not with a stock motor. If you don't have a stock motor you should upgrade your profile instead of starting two threads and repeating the same thing over and over again.

Hard intercooler piping is less a performance mod than a reliability and ease of use mod. As the rubber gets old it can tear, leak, and get sticky to try and remove. If there is a performance gain it's not going to be a tangible one with a completely stock setup.
