So here's the deal, Over a year ago The bolt holding the stubby shaft (Balance shaft removed) broke sending it into the block, so the oil pump went out and the shaft took the crank and two pistons with it. It's been taking forever to get this thing finished due to Deployments to Iraq. I rebuilt the motor with EVO II internals, .20 over Topline pistons, ARP bolts, Mitsu MLS headgasket, and Sealed Power bearings and rings. I took it to Gary Askins, named the Victor Reinz Machinist of the Year, of Spa Automotive Supply in Saratoga Springs for assembly. He sent the crank to The Crankshaft Company to have work done on it. The head was built using an Evo IX valve train and 1g "C" and "D" cams with in spec by a machinest in Camp Lejeune, NC. The new motor has the stubby shaft JB welded to the gear in the oil pump and the oil pump housing JB welded closed. I know that JB Weld has a tensile strength of 3,960 psi, a Flex Strength of 7320 psi, and can withstand a constant temperature of 500 degrees F.

My main questions are am I going to have any problems breaking this motor in? I know there is always a chance. I'm not going anything bigger then a E16G and 560cc injectors with a FMIC. This will be a DD and not a track beast.
