Need some some serious help here. im a little bit scared i have crankwalk on my second gen. My clutch is very inconsistent, sometimes its real hard some times real soft. it has stuck to the floor a few times now and i have trouble getting it in gear a lot and my gears grind kind of often. i really dont feel like my clutch is slipping so i really dont know what it is. the other thing that happened is i was bleading my brakes one day and when i took my wheel off i turned my car and and it started to spin like it was in gear? i pressed the brakes and it stopped spinning but when i let off the brakes it started again. then i pressed the clutch in and it stopped spinning again. so it seems like it something seriously wrong. i really have no idea what it is and would appreciate any help or advice anyone has for me. thank you

Aftermarket clutch, I assume.? Did you do the install yourself.? Sounds like it could possibly be the throw-out bearing.. Check it to make sure it didn't come loose, or disconnect completely for that matter. (When i took my tranny off to replace a "bad" clutch, the bearing fell out and hit the ground.. hehe)

Might be a hydraulic problem. Check your clutch reservoir, also a bad slave and/or mater cylinder could make those same symptoms.

eeehhhwww. it is probably crankwalk. I just had the same thing happen. pulled my motor and I could tug on the bolts that attach the flywheel to the crank. so with bolts threded in the crank i gave it a tug... this is where you get the sick uh-oh feeling because it has 2-3mm of play. yeah thats right the dreaded crank walk. but look on the bright side you get a higer flowing head with a 6 bolt. =P

it doesn't sound like it is crankwalk to me. sounds more like you are loosing hydraulic (sp?) pressure. check your slave cylinder. if it has never been changed before then that is probaly it. the little piece of plasic in it that stops the fluid from leaking and keeps the pressure is probaly worn out. that happened to me a few weeks ago. DON'T goto the dealership to get the parts. they will charge you out the ass. goto napa. you can either get a whole new slave cylinder($40) or a rebuild kit($20)

i have had several hundred dollars sunk into my clutch system first master cylinder then a month later 350 miles from home, the slave cylinder went tits up then two months later the clutch went out.. it would not go into gear some times the pedal would stick to the floor, it would sometimes grind going into gears if it went in at all. if you have the money do it all at one time or it will COST YOU.. to me it sounds like one of these problems. but all three times the pedal stuck to floor get some one ho has knowledge of the actual clutch disc to see if it is too worn out . my opinion is that it is not crank walk.. hope you get it fixed cheaper than i did!!!!!!!

i'm sorry to say
it is crankwalk. my motor is being rebuilt right now...... it as doing the exact same thing. i mean down to every last word you described. fix it now before it gets any worse.( crank angle sensor)
by the way i also replaced my entire clutch hydraulic system including steel braided clutch lines. you should fix it right away because all that hard shifting is going to mess up your tranny trust me i know i'm replacing my tranny and motor uhhhhhhhh.......
