background:
received killer deal on parts car(free)
has 10mile old 2600lb act. Had problems with clutch engagement as flywheel step was not machined properly.

My question:
can i take the friction plate and pressure plate from this car and buy or have a flywheel properly machined this time to work or am i out of luck since the clutch isnt brand new.

Also, are there any good machinists you guys would suggest in the bellingham area? if not im willing to travel to seattle or east side area for a good guy you trust that will machine my flywheel correctly.:dsm:

oh yeah and this concern of mine was raised after reading about clutch issues with 2600lb act's and seeing this article
RRE's Clutch And Flywheel Tech Info

If you have a stock flywheel it should match up if its not beat to hell an back. I have a fidanza light weight f w an it matches right up all i had to do was bleed the system an adjust my clutch pedal an i was on my way.

hmmm.... i will be needing a new flywheel so i wonder if that will present a problem. can anyone else chime in please, i want to be pretty sure about this before i go purchasing anything.
