ok i was wondering i want to straight pipe my car i was going to do a 3" all the way and then have a 4" tip because i was planning on dropping a 4g63t engine into my 4g64 spyder but however i am having problems finding a place to perform the swap so i am not going to do it. so that means i still have a none turbo car so how big should my straight pipe be to create good back pressure because i know a 3" straight pipe going out to a 4" tip is going to do nothing good for my car.. so any suggestions on what the sizes should be.??

what i want is a straight pipe from the headers all the way through with no cats or should i put a high flow cat on which is better

so a high flow cat i already have 4-2-1 headers i was looking at this wize muffler it has a 2.5" inlet and a 3.5" outlet is that to big of a outlet?

Outlet at the muffler doesn't really matter, biggest concern is making sure its a consitant amount of exhaust flow from the headers.. So for instance 3" then to a 2.5" cat back isn't good or the other way around, you want to stick to the same size piping throught your exhaust system and being n/t 2.5" is a good choice because you need a little bit of back pressure and not to free flowing like turbo cars with 3" and up.

so 2.5" straight pipe with a 2.5" high flow cat out to a 3.5" exhaust is ok?

Until people learn to use the Spell Check feature on their browsers, utilize their SHIFT button, and figure out where periods go, we're going to call this one closed for now.
