HELP i misspalced my grenade pin tensioner for my timming belt :(

Yeah my dumba** has tooken off the grenade pin tensioner shock thing that keeps the timming belt tight during the timming belt replacement and well i set it down some where and have no idea where. i looked and looked and looked with no luck So i got one off my 7bolt motor and it wont work sence i have a 6bolt so my ? is is there any where i could buy one?

i tried autozone with no luck they dont even carry them at all

Its just a pin compress it with a bench vise and jam an Allen wrench out...

Pretty sure he means the whole tensioner. You'll most likely have to go to a mitsu dealer to get one.

I have no idea how i lost it i set it down in the house somewhere and few days later poof its gone i cant find it no where i think the 2yo walked off with it but im sure after i buy one it will pop up out of no where.

It's really not a good idea to install a used tensioner, especially if you don't know how much use it has had. Of all the timing components the auto tensioner is one of the most critical. If it fails and causes jumped timing it can destroy the motor.

You should just buy a new one. Yourself is to blame if you put a who knows? how many miles tensioner on your engine and it fails.
