I originally had a 7 bolt engine w/ the e316g on it and not I got a 6 bolt and want to make it work w/ the same turbo... but the head is also a 1g head, water lines are all different and I don't know how to make the swap and don't know how to get water lines to work w/ this set up... Also there is no oil cooler... I wanna keep the 1g head because it has stage 4.5 porting and valve job done to it. Any ideas? Thanks!

go to magnusmotorsports.com under tech and follow there pdf file on 1gina2g.

The water lines are not hard to figure out. The oil cooler you need was on my 1g I bought, if not find a way to make it work. I have a 1g in my car no problems, just followed the magnusmotorsports way. I have gotten 2 1gin2g swaps so far, supervised a 3rd.

If the 6 bolt had a stock turbo on it use those water lines, if not you can modify the 7 bolt lines to work on a 1g t-stat housing, water pipe should be the same. 90' 6 bolts used air cooled oil filter housings, you have 3 options, 1 swap housings, 2 get a air oil cooler, or 3 loop the lines on the housing.

As for the 6 bolt swap, its not hard, honestly and has been covered many times on this forum and others, i think i did a write up on a few forums, the main points of interest are... the cas wiring, like mentioned above, magnus has the wiring conversion indepth, take the stock crank angle sensor and stock cam angle sensor, and splice the wires and make your own plug.

You have to modify the timing belt cover to clear the motor mount, and usually have to cut the weight off the 2g trans to clear the thermostat lower outlet.

use the 2g coil pack, power steering and alternator, its all pretty straight forward stuff.

Good Luck!!
