I have comp 110200 cams in my car. and a FEW other mods (check profile) My car will absolutley not idle when it gets to operating temperature. It idles high but consistent when cold and when it starts to get hot it stats to surge and eventually will cut off. Car runs well and seems strong off idle. i have tried many different parts to try and diaognose my problems. I have changed throttle body, computer and coil pack. I am just lost to what the problem is. It also has problems starting while hot. Could it be a timing issue? If I was one or two teeth off on the timing belt what symptoms would that cause. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks alot tuners.

hey Austin this is Austin from VA, with a few words of wisdom. Yes the timing off will cause it to barely run if it runs. mine was off by 4 ticks it ran then never ran again. My friends was off by 3 and it ran but was hard to crank. Check your timing too many people halfa$$ timing for other people because they dont know how to do it. Also make a boost leak tester and test with soapy water. Its the best thing you could ever make, then once you fixed all the boost leaks, set the ignition timing. Boost leaks and ignition timing can cause your problem and are very related. boost leak test first then set idle and ignition timing. GL.

Well no boost leaks. I grounded wire today for timing and the car cut off. And now it wont start. It is still getting fuel, fire and compression. why would this happen?

maybe timing like you said earlier, it sounds like you had an idea that your timing could be off, did you do the work? Check the timing on the cam gears and at the crankshaft.
