will a 1g dsmlink work in a 2g vehicle? just curious havent seen any post about it, figured id ask for anybody elses whos curious or wondering

Oh, I'm sorry I read that wrong. I was talking about using the 1G ECU chipped with the 2G Dsmlink in a 2g.
The moral of the story from Tom at ECMtuning is if you want to run DSMlink, you have to get the one made for your car. You can't use the 1g version (not to be confused with V1) in a 2g and visa versa.
... IF you are are getting the ecu and chip for free...i would make the harness...its only like a 2 hour job and you got dsmlink for free....if you're spending money...buy 2g dsmlink..its better overall... If you need any help on the harness or have any questions feel free to ask....probably should pm me though I probably wont notice this thread getting updated....
