recently finished putting some of the belts and what not back on my new 0 mile 6 bolt swap and it still needs tuned and all but when i went to start itup today ( 1st time since a month ago) it started up fine with just a high idle for 5 seconds then it sounded liek it was goona stall out so i let it run another 5 seconds and shut it off. i checked everything and waited another 2 minutes then strated it up again for about 10-15 seconds then it was stallign out so i shut it off. i waited another 2 minutes than went to start it up and it didnt seem liek it was turning over as easy the 3rd time and it sounded loud and noisy and started for about 1 second and i noticed smoke comign from what looked liek the top of the valve cover. so i turned it off immediatley. please help! what is going on.
this new motor has started numerous times and has ran for 10-15 second intervals because water pump belt was not on. the car has 272Bc cams, Sheetmeltal intake, 35r turbo, 38mm wastegate, Tial Bov, MAF Translator. the list goes on forever butthe motor sounded pretty " rough" on the 3rd start up and not sure if this is normal or just eeds tuned.
ALSO please note that the alternator isnt hooked up and i dont know if the battery is losing some of those cold crankign amps needed to maybe get it started up and maybe thats why it seemed it was harder and rougher to start the 3rd time. I also noticed on the 3rd start the timing belt like seemed to pause as it was tryign to turn over???
